Tools > Update from directory to update AVG antivirus offline (see image)
A new window pops up (see image).
Choose the folder (avgupdate) where the virus definitions are copied. Click OK.
A new window pops up (see image). Click on 'Update'
AVG will update its virus database offline using this file.(see image)
